Radio presenter on BBC Radio Wales
On radio, Richard has appeared frequently on Jeremy Vine's BBC Radio 2 lunchtime show, and was a regular voice on BBC Radio Wales, guest presenting the Sunday morning show alongside celebrity Anna Ryder Richardson. On the show, he performed Welsh/American mash-ups, recorded a Kylie tribute with the Maesteg Male Voice Choir, and rearranged the BBC Radio Wales jingle in a Chinese style. He ate chocolate-covered locusts and smashed up a set of sleigh bells with a hammer...amongst other things! He interviewed a range of celebs including Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet, Bez (The Happy Mondays), Amy Dowden (BBC Strictly), Aled Jones, Jay Blades (BBC The Repair Shop), Iolo Williams (BBC Autumn Watch), Christopher Biggins, Bonnie Tyler, and Dr Alex George (C4 Love Island).

Richard worked with The One Show for over 6 years. He completed an amazing array of musical challenges, told a range of fascinating stories, and interviewed a host of musical luminaries. He pushed a piano up Ben Nevis, composed music for the International Space Station and played Henry VIII's "Greensleeves" on the Mary Rose. Richard drummed with Dire Straits, and interviewed Tommy Iommi (Black Sabbath), Graham Gouldman (10CC), songwriters Mike Batt and Roger Greenaway, and producers William Orbit and Steve Levine. Richard performed live in the studio with Hugh Laurie and Tom Odell. Behind the camera he directed Bucks Fizz and Brotherhood of Man, and MD'd 15 Elvis impersonators, including Vernon Kay!!
